Yolo Land and Cattle Ranch

Tour a working cattle ranch and learn about modern cattle management practices. As part of the tour, guests will learn about the multiple projects underway to restore riparian watersheds, optimize grazing patterns and increase wildlife populations while still maintaining economic viability. The tour culminates with an authentic Western beef barbecue with all the trimmings.

Audubon Bobcat Ranch

Bobcat Ranch was acquired by Audubon California in 2007 to serve as an outdoor laboratory to learn how conservation and restoration can be made part of working lands throughout the state. In addition to learning about conservation and restoration, the Bobcat Ranch also offers bird watching, nature walks and wildlife viewing.

Traveling west from Winters on Highway 128, turn north (left) on County Road 87 (do not turn right on 87d before road 87). 87 becomes County Road 34 which ends at the Sparks Ranch. Follow the gravel road to the ranch house.

Cache Creek Conservancy

The Cache Creek Nature Preserve is a 130-acre property in the lower Cache Creek corridor 18 miles northeast of Winters.

Visitors have the opportunity to see early examples of the improvements in agricultural technology and walk amongst magnificent Valley Oaks, while learning of the creatures dependent upon them. Explore the wetlands while learning of their vital environmental functions and viewing the various waterfowl.
